I just love designing dresses for Easter. I have such fond memories of Easter, both as a kid and celebrating with my kids. I mean name me another holiday, in which we get to dress up our kids in the cutest, daintiest, prince and princess like clothing? Where we get free smiles and perfect picture taking moments? Where we get to shop for candy – all decorated in such lovely cute shapes and colors. Pastels are everywhere. It is a royal treat. And who does not love a bunny? Too cute. So how about a princess dress?
Believe it or not, I love to drag all of my gorgeous cotton fabrics from my storage room into my workroom, because I get to design some of the most gorgeous dresses. This year, I am aiming for beautiful and cuteness. Totally Girly. My latest release is called the PRETTY PRINCESS FLORAL DRESS. It is divine, and I wish I had a little girl right now, because she would wear this all summer long.
The Pretty Princess Floral Dress is a classic style dress that buttons in the back. It includes cap sleeves and a large bow in the front, plus eyelet trim along the hem. The pettiskirt is used only in pictures and is not for sale. However, since I get asked this question every week, you can buy them on ETSY or Target or TJMAXX. I found mine in Target.
This gorgeous floral fabric is something I have been saving for a few years. It is beautiful, and I only have one bolt, which can make about 15-20 dresses. So yes, it will go fast. However, I love my subscribers and I want you to have the first opportunity at seeing and hearing about it.
I will also be offering this dress with a few options.
- Sleeve Options: Cap Sleeves as seen in the pictures or a simple flutter.
- Bodice Options: You have the choice between the big bow, or a sewn in sash.
- Two different headbands – one for the little girls or babies, and one slightly larger. Both can be found on the website.
- I will make matching bloomers for $15 or ruffled bum pant for $35. Both items will be made out of the solid pink.
